Description

Metric Hex Head Bolts have a hex head and coarse or fine machine screw threads. Select from partially threaded or fully threaded. All short lengths are fully threaded; for partially threaded the minimum thread length is longer for larger bolt sizes. JIS B1180 and three sizes of ISO 4014 and ISO 4017 have heads that are smaller than their DIN counterparts. Steel, from Class 5.6 to 12.9, stainless steel and other materials are available as are plain, zinc plated, hot dip galvanized and other finishes. To differentiate between partial and full threads, we classify Hex Head Bolts as partially threaded and Hex Head Cap Screws as fully threaded. Hex Head Bolts are also called Machine Bolts.

The difference between full threaded bolt and half threaded

Part of the threaded screw is the general threaded part of the bolt. It is not half or more than half of the head to the foot. Because many connectors are stressed, the part of the half thread is on the outside of the joint of the workpiece, and the inner part is smooth and flat without the grain. It can improve the mechanical strength of the bolt and can withstand greater pulling force.

For shorter length bolts, the thread length is equal to the bolt length and is “full thread”; however, where longer bolts are usually required, the thread length does not need to be too long, so in the production of standard parts, the threads on the long bolts, Only a part is processed to save processing costs and become a "semi-threaded bolt"; both are used for threaded connection, but only for thread-saving machining.
